About Me-

My name is Elisa Chase, I am an ordained non-denominational Minister and a certified Life Cycle Celebrant® with certificates in Weddings and Family Ceremony from the Celebrant Foundation and Institute.  Creating and officiating meaningful, personalized heartfelt weddings in Connecticut and Massachusetts is my true calling.  My life experience prior to becoming a wedding celebrant in the state of Connecticut includes being a business owner, a certified project manager, an event planner, a parent and a step parent, a partner and a wife, a daughter, a sister, an aunt, and a friend.  While most of my life has been here in Connecticut, I have travelled to many places and lived across the United States.  The threads of my tapestry include a background in theater and theater production, dance and ballroom dancing, writing, martial arts, business and entrepreneurialism. I am a lover of music, my family, wide open spaces, the written word, horses, greyhounds and gardens.

I recently married the love of my life and we merged our families into one big, wonderous bunch!

I believe a wedding ceremony should reflect the needs, thoughts, wishes, and desires of the individuals entering into the state of matrimony.  I work within the community to help people understand that they can and should have as much input to the creation of their wedding as they do in the creation of their relationship and their marriage.  Customized weddings are formed by the words, ideas, rituals, music, readings and feelings of the couple.  Each of us has a unique perspectiveon the feelings and the message that we want our wedding to express and convey.  I work with couples to create a ceremony that reflects who you are, and the uniqueness of your relationship, your backgrounds and your belief system, no matter what that might be.  I create weddings for people who are interfaith, agnostic, spiritual, non spiritual, secular, non-secular or any blending or variety of some of all of these perspectives.  No matter the foundation upon which you build it, the beauty of your commitment is a gift you give to yourselves, to each other and to your family and loved ones.  Your wedding ceremony can truly create not just lovely memories, but it can also strengthen your love for one another, and reach and touch the hearts of the people you hold dear.

I believe ceremony offers each of us a chance to connect not just to each-other, but to ourselves on a deeper level and also to our community.  Ceremony and ritual provide an opportunity to share the strength of our joy and bear the weight of our sorrow, and in doing so create the ties that bind us in good times and in bad.   I believe strong communities are the foundation for a loving and peaceful society.  I believe in acceptance, tolerance, education, understanding and the universal brotherhood of human kind.

I look forward to the opportunity to help you create one of the most special moments of your entire life-your wedding.

I have lived in Connecticut most of my life.  I am a strong supporter of marriage equality for all couples regardless of race, religion, or sexual orientation, and am proud to live and serve in a State that has made this ideal a reality.  I believe love makes a family.
